Amware Logistics at CIBA Vision

Amware Logistics’ most recent involvement with the CSCMP occurred today when a tour was given of Alcon’s (formerly Ciba Vision) Johns Creek facility.

As the global leader in eye care, Alcon's mission is to provide innovative products that enhance quality of life by helping people see better. Through the merger of Novartis and Alcon, uniting the strengths of Alcon, CIBA VISION and Novartis Ophthalmics into one eye care business, Alcon has become the second largest division of Novartis. With these collective resources and scale, Alcon now offers the widest spectrum of eye care products in surgical, pharmaceutical and vision care across 180 markets and runs operations in 75 countries.
The Johns Creek Distribution Center is one of 6 Alcon DC's located in the U.S. This facility distributes contact lenses to customers in the U.S. and Latin America as well as serving as a replenishment center for other Alcon DC's around the world. At 200k square feet, the facility ships 1.8 million orders and more than 70 million units per year. The DC is supported by a team of 200 associates, including a 3rd party contract workforce of 150, committed to ensuring our customers get the lenses they want when they want them.
